Glowworms and beaches

An early start today to visit Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Photos aren't allowed, so you'll need to make do with this stock photo.

It was a tour of limestome caves, where glowworms live and catch their prey. The highlight was a deadly silent and dark boat ride, that glided gently underneath the glowworms.


We then said goodbye to our scenic campsite (see us circled below), and took a scenic drive to Waihi beach.

We had an intensely sunny afternoon on the beach and in the sea, before settling into some of Stu's amazing homemade food.
